Here, for your viewing enjoyment,
We have one rebel flag tattoo with a banner and a name, one bright orange hibiscus flower tattoo, and a tribal phoenix tattoo that fades from black to blue. There's also a blue rose tattoo on a black cross, and a nice "Spike the dog" cartoon tattoo. I don't know if it really is "Spike" from the Tom and Jerry cartoons, in fact I'm pretty sure it is Not, but it's similar.
And there you have it.

Allrighty then....
Let's see if we can get the old website up and going again....only with a few new personal rules and a couple of other changes to the site as well.
I will no longer be posting the stories behind the tattoos. I will only be posting a brief description of the tattoo for easier searching.

By the way, I was looking over the older entries and pics on here....and I just want to say how very blessed I am to be where I am, when I am.

And here is what else I've been doing..
A very nice coverup of a name with a blue rose tattoo. That butterfly with the tiger face in it tattoo (yes, That one), a tribal tattoo on the lower back that fades from black to red, and a really evil clown ripping thru the skin tattoo on a calf. There's also a heart with a bandaid tattoo, some praying hands tattoo, and a nautical star tattoo in red and black OW! That had to hurt.
Finish that up with a hummingbird tattoo on a shoulder and an In Memory Of Dad tattoo, and we're all done for now.

No posts in forever. Had a rough year.
You would think my life was a soap opera if I typed it all out.
Still slingin' ink tho.
Got a GREAT job where I am at now. Best shop in town. If you want to find me.....well, you probably won't. I am working under an assumed name in a place you have never heard of. I love all of you, all the customers I tattooed, and all the ones I talked out of getting a bad one. Please keep visiting the website. I check it everyday to see where everyone is coming from.

Remember, this is my best advice to anyone seeking a tattoo.....don't go in and ask for prices or settle for what is on the wall. The artist you are looking for is the artist that will take the time to listen to what you want and draw a custom piece just for you. But the homework is your responsibility. If you like this "Butterfly body" and that "Butterfly's wings" , and the background from who know's where, it is your responsibility to take all of that, ON PAPER, with you, to the artist that you are wanting a tattoo from. A good legitimate artist will put all of the elements of your tattoo together for you.
Look at the artist's portfolio. If you find someone doing the kind of work that you are looking for, then...only then....ask for prices and length of time involved. Otherwise you are wasting their time and yours. If you ask for prices without seeing their work, or the work coming out of the shop...I guarantee that unless their prices are listed on the wall beside the piece that you want, they will charge you more because you will have shown yourself to be uneducated in how tattooing works.
If you are looking for a tattooist who will do an excellent black and grey piece....LOOK AT THEIR PORTFOLIO FIRST. If you are looking for one to do a great color piece.....LOOK AT THEIR PORTFOLIO FIRST.
You want an artist who LOVES to do what you are looking for. An artist who loves black and grey pieces will not do a crap job when doing color...but they will do a better job at black and grey. An artist who loves color will not do a crap job when doing black and grey, but will do a better job doing color pieces. LOOK AT THEIR PORTFOLIO TO SEE IF THEY CAN EVEN DO THE KIND OF WORK YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, if you don't see anything you like, KEEP LOOKING. DON'T SETTLE for second best or your second choice.
REMEMBER...A TATTOO IS AS MUCH OF A COMMITMENT AS A MARRIAGE. It's easy to divorce your spouse, but it's not so easy to divorce your tattoo.
I pray everyone who is looking for a tattoo finds their perfect artist. Even if it is not me. Many artists are better tattooist than I.
Search for yours.

Today started out kinda slow.....saw the boss twice.....Matt worked today, he is the new counter/cleaning guy, and Kat is the other one (Kat works tomorrow...and Chad)
Then I did some tats...a black tribal dragon and rework of the crest that was already on there.

After that I put a butterfly on Carla. Carla was from...it's not India, but she said that that was right, too, somehow. She was dark skinned and was so happy to get color.
Even happier to hear that it should get brighter as it heals.
To finish up, I worked on Charlinda. We put in the outline of a rose tribal piece. Later, we are going to color in the stem/tribal pieces in greens and blacks. Each rose will be a different color, one color for each child, and a ladybug will be on one of the roses, as well.

This is my boss......and this is Gypsy Jill. They shared a convention booth.
Then some coverups. One is for R. again. R had done an Amy Brown fairy that needed to be reworked. And I did a retouch at convention, too. I don't know who did the original tattoo on her. She had wanted to cover it up with something else entirely, but couldn't decide with what. An Aquarius and Leo Zodiac signs intertwined. After talking about it, she decided to just save what she had, so I reoutlined and recolored. Added the name and dates.

Well apparently.....Tmobile and the website host cannot get together... I am finally able to get my pictures from my phone to my email, but am again unable to upload photos from my computer to my website due to server problems (or could be cox cable, too, I guess)

I have had the most amazing week.
Last week was VERY slow. Not even that many appts.
Then yesterday, I worked the convention for APT (Alliance Professional Tattooist). Talked to Judy Parker, whom I'd met before, and watched her work on some of the Infusion Art that is being sponsored by the Convention. I said "hi" to Gyspy Jill, and I will be working beside her tomorrow....I talked to Gail, the new secretary for APT, and Dennis Dwyer. I spoke with several artists who were most willing to share and talk, THANK YOU to Sam from LA, and Ron from Albq. New Mex (?) who let me talk his ear off while he worked on an Infusion Art piece.
At the very end of the convention last night, the Germans showed!! Florian and Mike came and we wandered around a bit. Then I had to drive all the way home...they are staying at the Marriot where the convention is, so I will see them again tomorrow.
Today, I went to work and did 3 tattoos, a Frog Butterfly tattoo (outline only), an Amy Brown Fairy, but not the same colors. And also a double dragon outline. Then I packed up my cart and loaded up, and left the shop about 8:30.
Tomorrow, I am planning on being at the Blue Dragon Booth between 12 and 8 or so'ish. So come and give me a peek....
OH AND LOOK WHAT DROVE INTO MY HOUSE FOR BREAKFAST.

Today was really slow. Boss came in twice, first time with the new receptionist person, and second time cause I was in trouble. Only did two tattoos today, and one of those was just a finish up of one I had already started. The plumeria tattoo got finished today. Looks great!!
And then Dan came in with a viking skull that needed help. We worked on the outline tonight and then he wants to try some color. He has some travel plans that he had premade, so we don't expect to get together again until June or so.
Hope tomorrow is busier.....

OK!!!!! SUNSHINESHEAVEN IS GOING TO THE PHOENIX VALLEY OF THE SUN TATTOO CONVENTION !!!! I will be working two booths.....I will be working the ALLIANCE PROFESSIONAL TATTOOIST (APT) booth on Friday, April 29th. I will also be working the Blue Dragon Tattoo booth on Sunday, May 1st.

The party I went to on Saturday night took me a few days to get over, even the hostess was passed out by the time I got there! Dave, the ripped skin tattoo guy, was there too, and he is the one that got Karen drunk on tequila. I got my spiked dog collar on him and took a pic of that too.
I had typed all of this up last night, but then my computer crashed right as I started to upload photos. So, I forgot what all I had to say,
but here are the pics....
This red dragon tattoo, Marty came in with the outline for it already in his skin, from a friend. We touched up the outline and then colored it in for him.

Whew....and more from the last few days....a flag butterfly tattoo, a Betty Boop Touchup that I did for R.
An emergency air/evac helicopter, a coverup on an inner arm....(the lilies/flowers cover up a name.) And also a new pic of Jeff's arm. This is the wave arm, and it was always meant to be a fire and water design. So, we did the flames tonight, and tomorrow, we will work on the backside of this same arm. I think that there were actually a few more, but....maybe these will tide ya over.

I just want to give a big public "THANK YOU" to all of the wonderful people who have been emailing me, I am so glad you like my site and see it for what it is meant to be.
I am sorry I have not been able to answer all of you individually, there is just flat too much mail to keep up with (almost 100 a day). Really, Thanks, your letters really made my days better this week when it's been so tough at work.
Chad is fitting in great. I hope he likes us, too.
So pretty soon things will be back to normal and I can stop working 6 12hr days a week.

And here are the pics of what I did yesterday at work. I did a Pepe Le Peu and Penelope Le Peu. Then we laid in the outline for an Escher drawing. I finished up the day working on Jeff. We didn't take pics of that. But he will be in next week again.....
Also a new guy started. His name is Chad. Rad Chad.
He's pretty cool. I think we are going to get along great.
He does awesome work.

The wings will be changing color to grey, Sergio is a bit of a bleeder, so the tat has a pinkish tinge to it. He already has his next tattoo picked out, so I will take another pic of this when he comes back.

So I worked on Steve, the quadraplegic, last night. We had the most fun! We had to secure his arm over with a belt, because he couldn't hold it stationary, and we put my doggy collar-necklace on him, and we all had the greatest time! I also put an adorable Eeyore tattoo on one of his caretakers, Mary. Thank you so much, guys! They paid for my husband's birthday present! I am taking him to Guitar World tomorrow and buying him an acoustic guitar. I have been wanting to buy him one for a long time, so thank you, Steve and Mary.

I worked all day today. The first thing I did was a touchup on one of R's pieces. Forgiven before and Forgiven after. I ONLY DID THE TOUCHUP!!!
Then I touched up Dora's eyebrows. We had alot of fun. Her daughter came with her and we laughed the whole time.
After Dora, I filled in the green rays on Danny's arm. The outline was already there from another artist. I am just going to color it in. Today we did green. This is right after we had finished the tattoo.
Then I had about half an hour before Traci arrived. We had hoped to get the whole tattoo of plumeria's done, but gosh. This thing is pretty big. It is on her front right hip and it is about 6 inches round. We made an appt. to finish it in a month.
Tomorrow, I am making a house call to work on Stephen, the quadraplegic. He is getting a memorial piece. It will be his first tattoo....but not his last!

S. had indeed decided to go for a coke. But he went to the corner store instead of the bar, and was rear-ended at the intersection. And he was in his brothers truck.
So he couldn't come back that night. But he did come back (and he is OK, thank goodness!) and we have rescheduled his appt!

What a couple of days. Here are the pics. There is a black ghost tattoo, a celtic moon tattoo that I did on the sweetest older lady today, a tinkerbell tattoo (I touched up the wings right before I took the pic.)
Also a superman emblem, but with a Z, instead....and a skeleton playing guitar tattoo.
I think that I did a few more tats than that, but either the pics didn't turn out, or I just forgot to take them.

Ok. Well. So, the other tattooist was let go today, and another one had a really good interview with the Boss. I flipped desks/positions in the shop, too. Several people have been in to the shop and said " Oh. Is that your new chair?" I apparently have neglected to take pics of it still.
Tomorrow! I promise! Remind me!
Also, we applied for the abandoned title for the Fiero. Cause, I can't drive it yet.
OH FUCK!!!
I might never get to do it now, unless I do it myself. The other artist who was let go was the one who was going to hand paint all of the cherries. AND the guy who was going to print up professional stickers for both the car and the chair (cause, really. isn't that cooler if the cherries on the car and the cherries on the chairee are all EXACTLY the same?) is being dumped by his common law wife/girlfriend this weekend. Hmmm...... I will have to get on top of that somehow.
So. Didn't really start even working until 3 pmish. Then I did a heart with initials. Then a fish outline on a repeat customer. I also touched up the chin line and eyes of a really cute frog on her other leg...also a leaf line if I recall correctly...then a 1 hr tchup on one of R's pieces. I will put them in here, but with disclaimers. I ONLY DID THE TOUCHUP!!! or something.
Now. I had an appointment with S at 7 pm. I was running a little behind on the tchup for R's work. S sat around and waited until 7:30. I had greeted him, and had been talking to him, and had just gotten done smiling at him and saying "Almost done", nodding and refferring to the tchup I was working on. S smiled back, nodded, said no problem, then said "You know, I AM going to go get a coke." This was something I had suggested earlier, when telling him I was running behind. Then we smiled said ok, and out he walked. I thought he had walked over to the bar which is in the parking lot to get a coke. By 7:45, I had my rolly cart set and ready for S's tattoo. I walk over to the bar with the outline to show him and tell him I am ready, and no S.
S never came back.

So much happening at work. The guy that works opposite me (Fr Sa Su Mo) is going to be let go tomorrow. I know that this is something that has to be done. I have known about this for 2 days. I know this has to be done.
But he is my friend. I will miss him. I will worry about him.
Today, I did the first of many touchups for him. It took me two hours, I had to completely redo the whole thing. No charge. (But such a lovely tip! THANK YOU, YOGI!)
(Hmmmmm.....also no pics of that. If you are interested in seeing the touchups that I do as well as the original pieces, EMAIL ME!!!!! You know where.....see top)
I also did a nice blue flame tattoo piece and a "Please No Touching" on a guy from Washington's elbow. He had Tennis elbow and it surely must have killed him to get the tattoo, but he took it great! Here are those pics.

So, I worked on Carl today. We added the bottom of the angel and colored in around the moon some. No pics of that, but Carl shared his day with his friends this week....and I gave Larry his first tattoo ever. It was a great tat!

I worked on two people from Illinois today, Kelly and Joel. They contacted me weeks ago via the internet. We finally got together today and were able stain them a little.
She got the shamrock, and he got the Guiness Toucan.

I spent several hours on Saturday working on Cheryl. She is trying to cover a scar on her tummy. She understands that there are no guarantees when working with scars, but was willing to try and so was I. So this is what she came up with.
We are going to color it in so that it looks gold w/emeralds. I think it's gorgeous!
And I don't normally do touchups on Saturdays, but Molly and her mom are moving away to California, and I needed pics. These are the coolest mom and daughter pair I have ever met. Their tats are in elvish, and say Bilbo and Frodo. The story is more beautiful than the tattoos.
And another memorial piece. He and Amy had dated for several years. Lani was her daughter. He was within one week of asking Amy to marry him, when Amy and Lani were hit by a drunk driver. He still misses you.

Whew. Busy Busy Busy. Today I did a big kanji on Freddy's Back. It says
"Victory or Death".
I added the cowboy hat, lasso, and banner to Chris' Tom Tom tattoo. Tom was his nephew, just a little guy, only 2ish. He drowned last year. We added the cowboy stuff to further remember his little spirit.
And Paula, she has wet flames.
And Art got his first tattoo. An initial.

Also, I did a really cool Goo today. Goo is Gumby's girlfriend. She turned out awfully cute, she wouldn't let me take pics because she didn't want anyone else to have one.

Bryant takes good care of me at work. Answers questions and phones, mops, vacuums, does line/copy/size work....takes out the garbage....Gosh. He is the best shop guy. So here is his paycheck (plus what I tip him).

I worked on Jeff (triple layer flames w/bubbles) on Tuesday, but we didn't take pictures.
Then I worked on Carl on Wednesday. We finished up his moon. I think there are two pics of his back.......and oooh. I discovered a new trick w/my mouse that is SO going to help w/resizing!
Also a cute turtle...this one was a gift to a friend of mine. The actual size is slightly larger than a half dollar.

other than that....really slow. I have an appt. with a homebound person. I will try to take pics of him...but he doesn't have a computer.....
ALSO!!!
I know that I told you that I was getting a new chair....and I did.
But it was not at all done the way we had agreed upon, or at the time that we agreed upon. In the end, I took the chair half finished. I will post pics of it tomorrow. It is still so much cooler than the old one. But not at all what I had imagined.
And. I was going to put cherries all over the new black w/red pinstripe Fiero I just bought. So that my tattoo chair and my car would match. On the back of the car I wanted to put

So today I go into work, booked up for the day. Absolutely no room for walk-ins. By 1 pm, it's official.....ALL THREE APPTS CANCELED OR RESCHEDULED!
By 3 pm I am working on walk-ins, and keep working until 9:30. I also booked four more appts, including my first appt into April, today, so anyone thinking of coming in better CALL SOON!!!

Here are some feathers I did today. I also did a nice tribal heart design in all purple. No black. But I had already bandaged it before I remembered about pics....

Today I did a custom sunflower tribalesque piece.
I also worked on Jeff some more. All of the bottom layer was done when he came in.
We worked on the blue layer tonight.

I'm Back!!!

Didja' miss me? I took alot of pics.....Some of the vendors....some of tat's being done....some of tats I thought were really coool on people I saw walking around.
So, by the way did I mention the weather was freezing and snowing and slushy?!
Yuck!
We went to the Salt Lake City Tattoo Convention Saturday afternoon and stayed for a couple of hours....I had alot of fun, but didn't see anyone I knew. It was fairly busy when we were there and getting busier when we left. We would have stayed longer, but, we had only a limited amount of time and had a family dinner planned for that evening.

Today I went in early and worked on my shop-guy. We colored in his flames some and added the little fire devil dude. I also did another Tinkerbell, but forgot to take pictures of it.....Brittany!! If you read this- come back in and let me get a pic!
Then one of Carl's friends came in and got a nice eagle design in red-white-and blue.
Tomorrow is busy...and then to SALT LAKE!!!!
I will be posting lots of pics of the convention....I am so excited!!!

Today was kind of slow.....I worked on Dave's arm until 5pm. Retouched alot of the inner dark skin areas and then finished up around the skull and eye. We also put a huge tribal outline on his other arm, starting that sleeve. I had a 6pm appt that no-showed, but Jenny came in and wants a dragon around her neck and shoulders. Having nothing else to do, Jenny and I worked on the flash for her dragon together and then made an appt. for her for next week, I think. That is going to be one coool piece!

ALSO!!!!!! I AM GETTING A NEW CHAIR!!!!! Oh my god, it is going to be so TITS!
It is going to be black and chrome, with red piping and a HOT cherry design! AND!!!!!
IT'S GOING TO SWIVEL!!! Anyone who has gotten a tat from me knows about me and my chair, so you know why I am happy. I will be posting pics of the chair and also putting the name of the guy doing the customizing. I'll give him a nice boost I hope.

WOW!!!!!
This is turning out to be a fantastic year so far!
I got my name in Savage Tattoo Magazine.....and I got the website going.....and WOW!!! Is it going!
My poor "Counter" has been ticking away like mad! I have been answering email like crazy!! I am booked for almost two weeks right now!!! FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! Next weekend I am flying out to Salt Lake City with my husband. We are going to visit my Grandpa, my Aunt Gay, my brother, Nathan's (who is visiting with me right now...so coool!) family, and then we are going to the Tattoo Convention! So INCREDIBLE!!
Thanks to all you wonderful people who make my life possible by coming back again and again, not just to the website, but to the shop, too!

Here is the finished outline of Jeff's flames. The first layer will be traditional red/orange/yellow w/bubbles. Then some sick blues/whites in the solid middle flames. The last set of flames w/bubbles is going to be acid greens and yellows. Pretty sweet. We start the color work tomorrow. I am so excited.
I am hoping to take Jeff to the Convention here this year. Also my husband, and Louis, the guy featured the Feb/March issue of Savage.
I did actually get a copy of this magazine from a customer, Dave, the ripped skin sleeve. Thanks, Dave!

Today I did some nice butterflies on Wendy's back. She had gotten another tattoo from me before...a celtic knot piece. She has referred alot of people to me. Thanks Wendy!
